Answers before deciding
Driving licence in Dubai: where to start
Check your eligibility before organising a car purchase or rental for your move.
Your next steps
Open the RTA service, select the country that issued your licence and check your eligibility.
Prepare a valid licence and the requested documents. An eye test and, depending on the process, an RTA centre visit are involved.
RTA lists an eye test at AED 140–180. Confirm the remaining fees before paying; this is not the full exchange cost.
Plan your transport
Compare car and public transport options against your home-to-school journey.
Use the moving checklist and include the confirmed amount once in your setup budget.
